The Studio at Firnew Farm

Before there was art, there was painting. ... I remember a conversation I once had with an elder painter who was a particular proponent of abstraction, insisting on the absolute importance of painting's independence from any demand it illustrate a predetermined meaning. "Well, how do you feel when you look at a painting by Caravaggio?"

Hey! Good luck with the April show - wish I could be there! The Art Scene in the Hamptons is warming up! We had a very successful show at The Crazy Monkey Gallery artist cooperative in March. We have our next show opening April 11th, so if anyone is driving through Amagansett NY :) please stop in!

I am also in the second year publishing the Local Art Rag for our area. It is a directory for local artists and muscians. We have so many artists working diligently in their studios but do not have Trish Crowe's beautiful space in which to show! You are so very lucky! We are still just getting started with this directory - but check out the online version - LocalArtRag.com - maybe you all could be interested in such a thing...I would love to develop a link between our areas! We hope to have a blog started this summer!!!???...

Love you Trish! You go girl!!!
